MTF Explorer Privacy Policy (v1.0) What this app does - MTF Explorer processes files locally on your device. No file contents leave the device unless you explicitly copy/move them to a cloud provider. - Supported cloud connectors (when you enable them): AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, Google Drive, FTP/SFTP. Operations use TLS where the provider supports it. Data we handle - File metadata: When you trigger cloud actions, folder/file names and paths are sent only to the selected provider to complete your request. - Credentials/tokens (including passwords, access tokens, and connection strings for FTP, Azure, and Google Drive integrations): Stored locally exclusively in the Windows Credential Manager, a secure, OS-managed credential store built into every modern Windows installation. You remain in full control of stored credentials. You can view, edit, or remove them at any time through the Windows Credential Manager (Control Panel → Credential Manager → Windows Credentials). Removing a connection from within Folderly also removes its associated credentials from the Credential Manager automatically. - Logs: Crash and diagnostic logs are written to %LOCALAPPDATA%\MTF Explorer. They are not uploaded automatically. - No telemetry/analytics: MTF Explorer does not collect usage analytics or show ads. If this changes, the policy version will be updated and you will be asked to accept again. AI Semantic Search (optional, local) - AI Semantic Search is an opt-in feature, disabled by default. - When first enabled, Folderly downloads an open-source embedding model (licensed under Apache 2.0 or MIT) from the internet to your local app data folder. This one-time download is the only network activity related to this feature. - Indexing reads only file and folder names, never file contents and stores numerical vectors in a local SQLite database on your device. - Search queries are processed entirely on your device: your query is embedded locally, compared against the stored index, and results are returned. No data leaves your device at any stage. - The AI index is stored at %LOCALAPPDATA%\MTF Explorer. You can rebuild or clear it at any time from Settings. Your controls - Cloud connectors are opt-in and can be removed at any time from Settings/Connections. - You can clear local logs by deleting the %LOCALAPPDATA%\MTF Explorer folder or using a future in-app option. - You can remove stored credentials by deleting provider connections; uninstalling MTF Explorer removes local app data. Security - Network calls to cloud providers use HTTPS/TLS where supported; FTP is plain text by protocol—use SFTP where possible. - We do not share your data with third parties beyond the cloud providers you configure. - You are responsible for device-level security (OS login, disk encryption, backups). Children - MTF Explorer is not directed to children under 13 (or under the applicable local minimum age). We do not knowingly collect data from children. Policy updates - The in-app policy version (v1.0) matches the Terms versioning model. When this policy changes, the app will prompt you to review and accept the updated Terms/Privacy.
